MEDINAH, Illinois (AP) - U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III liked what he saw at Medinah Country Club, including the shortened No. 15.

Love and European captain Jose Maria Olazabal were at Medinah on Monday as part of year-out festivities for the Ryder Cup. Rain kept them from playing the No. 3 course, but they did get out to look at some holes. Asked if he has thought about how he'd like the course set up, Love says he thinks Medinah is just fine the way it is. No. 3 is a tree-lined, major-championship course, Love says, perfect for the Ryder Cup. With the change to 15, now a drivable, par-4, both say the last four holes will make for an exciting finish.

The Ryder Cup is next Sept. 25-30.
