PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Lexi Thompson shot a 4-under 68 Friday to take the lead after two rounds of the Navistar LPGA Classic.
The 16-year-old is at 10-under 134, two shots ahead of Stacy Lewis and Becky Morgan.
Meena Lee, who came within one shot of tying the course record with an 8-under 64, is third at 7-under 137.
Giulia Sergas, Hee Kyung Seo and first-round leader Jennifer Johnson are tied at 138.
Thompson was a 14-year-old amateur in 2009 when she was tied for the Navistar LPGA Classic lead after two rounds before finishing 27th. She tied for 16th last year as a professional.
Thompson, who started the day on the 10th tee, was 4 under on her front nine. She bogeyed the par-3 seventh hole before a birdie on No. 8.
Lewis shot a second-straight 4-under 68 Friday. Morgan birdied No. 9, her final hole, for a 3-under 69.
Lee reached 9 under with three straight birdies on holes 14-16, but an errant drive led to a bogey on the par-5 17th.
