COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Collier County EMS workers are asking for $1.5 million to sign a lease-purchase agreement to get 50 new EKG monitors.

The tools are used on a daily basis, and EMS workers said the current machines are out of date.

An EKG measures heart rate, blood pressure and vital signs.

EMS officials said the $1.5 million lease would be spread out to tax payers over five to six years.
