BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - The president of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg is bringing a little magic to public television.
Dr. Michael Adelman is the host of "Abracadabra," a PBS show that uses magic and ventriloquism to teach children how to make healthy choices regarding nutrition and activity.
The Register-Herald reports the show wrapped up filming 13 episodes in Beckley earlier this month. The show is aimed at children ages 4 to 10.
Show executive producer Rich Carter says he hopes the show will be ready to be broadcast next year, but funding goals still need to be met.
