LEE COUNTY, Fla.- It looks like Dr. Nancy Graham will remain Lee County Schools superintendent for at least a few more years.

Today, the Lee County School Board discussed her new contract details. The agreement would give Graham a two-year deal, and increase her pay to $185,000. That's almost $20,000 more than she's making now.

The board declined to take a final vote on the contract, allowing them more time to look closely at the language in it.

It allows Graham to earn a $10,000 bonus each year if she meets five goals laid out by school board members.

Board members discussed the contract for at least two hours. Some board members thought initial talk of a 3 year contract at $195,000 was too much for a superintendent with only a year's experience in that position.

Others said Graham has demonstrated great leadership and brought stability to the district.
