LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Several Lee County schools received word this week that they had been chosen to receive grants worth $5,000 each from The Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries.
Colonial Elementary, J. Colin English Elementary, Orange River Elementary, Dunbar High and Lehigh Senior High will each receive grant funds to be used to expand, update and diversify their library book collections. The Laura Bush Foundation has announced that 212 schools nationwide were chosen to receive grants for 2013. District schools that will receive these funds are eager to expand and enhance book and print collections in their libraries, providing additional educational enrichment opportunities for all students.
