LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The investigation into the fire that destroyed some Lee County School buses on May 12th is complete.
Authorities say it was an electrical problem that sparked the fire in the engine of one bus. The blaze at the Buckingham bus barn then spread to several other buses.
Robert Morgan, Head of Transportation, said workers are inspecting every bus in the Lee system, starting today. They are looking for worn electrical wires connecting to the batteries on the buses. Morgan said arson was not a cause of the fire.
