LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The Lee County School District is spending another $60,000 to send staff members to a professional development course that's already up to a half million dollar price tag.
Board member Jeanne Dozier was the only one to vote against the money. She says it's too much to spend on a conference in Orlando when the company runs virtual conferences over the internet.
Superintendent, Dr. Burke says the money is from federal grants meant for teacher development.
