LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Edison State College is whittling away the candidates for the school's president position. Only three people remain in the search.
Edison officials are saying they may offer a contract by the end of the week. Students and faculty fired questions at one of the final Edison State College presidential hopefuls.
As the board of trustees prepares to make a decision, Wednesday morning's public forum was the first of a dozen, spread out across Edison State's four campuses.
All three remaining candidates carry high levels of experience. The forums allow the Edison community to get to know them in a casual setting.
As recent course-swapping scandal and the subsequent removal of Doctor Kenneth Walker continue to make waves, Edison officials are aiming to make the hiring process public and transparent.
There are several more opportunities to get involved in public forums.
The public is also allowed to sit in on the board of trustees meeting on campus Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. when they choose the new president.
