LOS ANGELES (AP) - NBC.com and Microsoft are offering an extreme computer makeover for one U.S. school.
An online competition tied to NBC.com's "My School Pride" initiative will provide a new computer lab with 25 computers for the winning campus. Five finalists will get a laptop computer.
A five-part online series will track the contest from submissions to computer installation. The contest is part of "My School Pride," a website created by NBC.com to give visitors ways to boost school spirit in their towns.
Monday is the deadline for posting a video or a photo with a short essay explaining why a school should get the new computer lab. Later this week, five finalists will be chosen and, through Nov. 29, people can vote for a favorite on the website.
The winner of the new lab will be announced Dec. 1.
