MACON, Ga. - The FGCU men's basketball team still has more basketball to play this season.  The Eagles advance to the semifinals of the Atlantic Sun tournament with a 71-61 win over USC-Upstate.  The win also snaps a 3-game losing streak that closed the regular season.

FGCU overcame six point halftime deficit thanks to strong shooting performance and an equally strong defensive effort in the second half.  The Eagles hit nine three pointers, six after halftime, and had five players score in double digits.

The men move one step closer to punching a ticket to the NCAA tournament.  But next up, they face the host team, Mercer.  The Eagles and Bears play Friday night's 8:30 semifinal for the right to advance to the Atlantic Sun Championship game.
