The FGCU men's basketball team finally makes its debut in the Atlantic Sun Conference Thursday night. The Eagles face off against the number three seed, USC-Upstate at 8:30 on the campus of Mercer University. Just like the FGCU women, who won Wednesday, this is the first time the men's team has been eligible to compete in the tournament.

Although the team struggled down the stretch, losing its last three games, head coach Andy Enfield says, "Lower seeds beat higher seeds all the time, in conference championships as well as the NCAA tournament. We expect to go out and give it our best shot and if we're good enough, we'll win tonight."

The winner of tonight's game will face the number two seed and host Mercer, Friday at 8:30.
