ESTERO, Fla.- The FGCU men's basketball team is getting ready to hit the road with their A-game. The Eagles will be competing in the Atlantic Sun Championship in Macon, Georgia this week. The Eagles depart Tuesday morning out of Alico Arena with the same goal in mind: win the conference tournament and get to the big dance.

The men have struggled down the stretch since qualifying for the tournament. Dropping three in a row and falling from a potential fourth seed down to the sixth spot. The Eagles also finish three games under .500 for the season and in conference. But that slate is erased now. Win three in a row and they could shock the conference and earn a bid to the field of 68.

The team picked up honors from the Atlantic Sun Monday. Sherwood Brown was named to the All-Conference second team and Bernard Thompson and Brett Comer were each honored on the All-Freshmen team.

The men play the last game on Thursday against USC Upstate at 8:30.
