LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Clash of the Titans" has taken down "Date Night" at the weekend box office after all.

With final numbers in from the studios Monday, "Clash of the Titans" retained the No. 1 spot with $26.6 million. "Date Night" debuted in second place with $25.2 million, nearly $2 million less than distributor 20th Century Fox reported a day earlier.

On Sunday, Fox estimated that Steve Carell and Tina Fey's comedy pulled in $27.1 million, about $200,000 more than Warner Bros. reported for Sam Worthington's action hit "Clash of the Titans."

Flip-flops in the box-office rankings are rare, but they occasionally happen because Sunday figures are based on projections that can change when studios release final numbers Monday.
