NEW YORK (AP) — An electrical fire on West 52nd Street in the heart of Broadway's theater district silenced the Four Seasons.

The producers of "Jersey Boys" said the Tuesday evening and Wednesday matinee performances of the hit musical about the 1950s pop singing group were canceled following an underground fire and a manhole explosion. The Tuesday fire forced the evacuation of several nearby buildings.

"Jersey Boys" producers said performances were expected to resume Wednesday evening at the August Wilson Theatre.
