BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Johnny Jones was introduced Monday as the program's 21st head coach.
A former player and assistant coach for the Tigers, Jones was the head coach at North Texas for the past 11 seasons. He replaced Trent Johnson, who accepted the same position at TCU. In his 11 seasons with the Mean Green, Jones had a 190-146 record and won two Sun Belt tournament titles.
Jones says he will try to "bring back the passion and excitement LSU basketball had in its glory days."
