TAMPA, Fla - Southwest Florida Congressman Connie Mack has been a longtime supporter of Governor Mitt Romney, even backing his Presidential campaign four years ago. Mack will among those help introduce Romney when he speaks Thursday night.
"For me, and the Republican party, what Mitt Romney wants to convey to people is, we are a land of dreamers, we dream big dreams and have the ability to chase them," Mack said. "Right now they feel like they've got a government that is keeping them down, whether its more taxes, or more regulations, the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare."
Mack also shared the image of Romney that he hopes voters will see.
"As you can imagine, I've got a little frustration that I keep hearing people in the media say that he's not warm, and he's not this and he's not that. He's a very likeable and warm person, he's someone that you can trust," Mack said. "This is someone we can trust that is really trying to put America back on the road to prosperity, and he wants to help people."
Mack is facing his own race this November, in the U.S. Senate race against incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson.
