FELLSMERE, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Rick Scott has gotten to work in one of Florida's most iconic industries.

Scott did his ninth "Let's Get to Work" day picking and processing oranges Wednesday at IMG Citrus in Fellsmere.

The Republican governor borrowed the idea of sampling different jobs from former Gov. and ex-U.S. Sen. Bob Graham.

"Let's Get to Work" was the slogan for Scott's election campaign that focused on job creation.

Scott picked oranges, loaded them onto a truck and mowed grass between the citrus trees. He then sorted fruit and put it in boxes and bags at a packing plant.

Scott said his goal is to improve Florida's business climate so the citrus and other industries can expand and grow.

He's also worked at a doughnut shop and airport.
