LEE COUNTY, Fla. - You call and we act! That's how our WINK News Call for Action team operates. What a lot of people don't know is that part of our team is made up of volunteers.

"It was just what I wanted. Recliners in every piece of the furniture. I was so excited waiting for it and they just kept milking me," said Nancy Burnett.

Nancy plunked down $1300 in cash back in July to get a new living room furniture set. But three months later, her living room was still empty.

"I went up there and he didn't have it. Then I got very angry. I was pounding on his desk, you know. I was trying to be nice, but I had been nice for three months. That was long enough I thought. So I came home and that's when I called [WINK News Call for] Action."

Nancy got a hold of one our volunteers, also named Nancy. Our volunteer wasted no time. She got on the phone, contacted the store and was assured that the caller Nancy, would get her cash back immediately.

"I talked to [Nancy] on the phone and it wasn't minutes later [Nancy] called me back and said come get the money. I could not believe it," Nancy recalled.

"Thank God I still have my mind and I have people edging me on because I am a softy and I probably would have let it go on longer. I'm grateful that I didn't and that I got the help from you people at WINK," she said.

Nancy told us she was able to find another living room set she liked and the furniture is supposed to be delivered in the next 15 days.
