EAST NAPLES, Fla-- An unlicensed handyman took their money, and never finished the job. Now a national hardware store chain comes to the rescue of several East Naples condo owners.
"I got more than my money's worth, now, " Annabelle Pollard laughed to WINK NEWS CALL FOR ACTION.
Annabelle shared her story with us earlier this week, telling us she paid a handyman $120 up front. The handyman never did the work.
Annabelle's door and a patio set still needed repair.
An employee from Home Depot heard the story and wanted to help.
"I called WINK NEWS and I got a hold of you," said employee Kimberly Morse, "It touched me because I don't like to see people taken advantage of."
Annabelle's neighbor, Robert Lockwood, told us he paid the same handyman up front. Again, the guy never finished the job.
On Wednesday, April 28th, Kimberly Morse assembled a crew from her store and they made it right-- for both Annabelle and Robert.
"I feel a little bit overwhelmed," said Robert.
"it makes my day, yeah," said Annabelle. "I have more faith in humanity now"
