DALLAS (AP) - A federal judge is clearing the way for American Airlines creditors to vote on a merger with US Airways.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane on Tuesday approved the description of a restructuring plan from American Airlines parent AMR Corp., including the merger that would create the world's biggest airline.
The judge is delaying a ruling on AMR CEO Tom Horton's $19.9 million severance package. He could make a decision on that in a couple of months.
