LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Today is the busiest online shopping day of the month. Retailers are taking note and bringing out the bargains.
The second monday in December has been dubbed Green Monday for all money that changes hands today. With just two weeks left to do holiday shopping, today tends to be the day more people get the jitters and head to the Post Office, or if they're not to that point yet, they head online and place an order.
Retailers predict that shoppers will spend more than a billion dollars online today.
Unlike Black Friday and Cyber Monday, very few retailers have been making a big deal in anticipation of Green Monday. There haven't been any "Pre-Green Monday" sales like there were ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but here are a few we wanted you to know about.
If you're looking for a TV, you can save $500 on an LED at Walmart. Lenovo, which sells laptops, tablets and PCs is giving up to 40 percent off at their website. And Sears is hosting their Cyber Monday rewind sale, offering up to 50 percent off on electronics, some furniture and even baby strollers. (All of those deals are listed on our website under Hot Links.)
It seems like nearly every day from the end of November through December is some sort of "official" shopping day, so just in case you end up with something you're not jazzed about, keep in mind this date: Thursday, December 20th is national Re-Gifting Day.
