LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Publix Supermarkets has issued a voluntary recall on certain 45 cake products that may have been contaminated Listeria monocytogenes, bacteria that can cause sometimes serious illness in pregnant women and others with compromised immune systems.
The recall includes bakery items delivered between Nov. 11 and 15 to stores in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Customers who bought any of the included products may return them for a full refund, according to Publix. Customers with additional questions can call Publix at 1-800-242-1227. Customers can also call the FDA at 1-888-SAFEFOOD (1-888-723-3366).
