CHICAGO (AP) â€” Wheat futures jumped Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, but other grains prices dropped.
Wheat for December delivery jumped 25.25 cents to $6.8125 a bushel, while December corn shed 4 cents to $4.2925 a bushel and oats for December delivery dropped 2.75 cents to $2.87 a bushel. November soybeans slid 18.5 cents to $10.1225 a bushel.
Beef futures rose while pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle climbed 1.95 cents to 99.15 cents a pound; October feeder cattle added 1.62 cents to $1.1657 a pound; October lean hogs dipped 0.17 cent to 77.90 cents a pound; and February pork bellies dropped 3 cents to $1.02 a pound.
