Woman killed in fiery single-vehicle crash in Bonita Springs Sunday morning

A 31-year-old woman from Fort Myers was killed in a fiery crash Sunday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the unnamed woman was driving west on Bonita Beach Road SE around 6:30 a.m. when she drove off the road and hit a tree in the median just east of Vincent Road.

The car caught fire and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were immediately available.

FHP does not release the names of crash victims, citing Marsy’s Law.
