Christmas is in the air as the annual Holiday Nights festival begins at Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers.

Everyone came out to see the lights go on because Christmas is needed more than ever this year.

Maria Shillinglaw came from Tampa. “We haven’t been there in a long time. They were maybe six and eight or something like that at the most, so it’s been 20 years,” she said.

So she wanted to continue a forgotten tradition. “You do like to revisit certain places and see,” said Shillinglaw.

These memories are so bright they need to be shared. “I’m hoping he will catch onto that so we can do more things like this together,” said Emily Shillinglaw.

Alex and Charles think that what’s important is how we felt in those magical moments. “It’s good to be back and share another memory with the family. I don’t really remember a lot of when we came before but it’s cool to see now with the holidays around the corner and stuff.”
