According to the Naples Police Department, at around 1:54 a.m. a Mercedes driving south on US-41 collided with the rear of a semi-truck and trailer that was making a U-turn from the northbound lanes at the intersection of Old Trail Drive and US-41. The driver of the Mercedes was declared dead on the scene and an investigation is being conducted. US-41 southbound traffic is being diverted onto Old Trail Drive and the southbound roadway has been closed. Tow trucks are working to remove the vehicles and the debris. Trust WINK News for updates
