Bonita Springs man found guilty of aggravated battery, assault on pregnant woman

A Bonita Springs man has been found guilty of aggravated battery and assault on a pregnant woman, according to State Attorney Amira D. Fox.

Nathan Morgan Aly, 29, was found guilty by a jury following a one-day trial in Lee County.

Aly threatened a pregnant woman and physically assaulted her at a hotel in Bonita Springs. The incident was investigated by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Before the trial, Aly pled guilty to one count of violation of pre-trial release for violating a court-ordered, no-contact order, with the victim.

His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 21. Aly is being held at the Lee County Jail without bond.

Assistant State Attorney Andrew Riordan and Assistant State Attorney Wendy Jones prosecuted the case.
