Crews responded to a boat fire north of Cabbage Key on Wednesday

The FWC, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Coast Guard, Useppa Fire Department, Boca Grande Fire Department, Cape Coral Police Department and Pine Island Fire Department all responded to a boat fire north of Cabbage Key.

According to FWC, the boat’s two occupants were uninjured, despite early reports of possible minor injuries, and brought to shore by a Good Samaritan.

The vessel is being towed to Pine Island Marina.

The FWC will be the lead agency in the boating accident investigation and will provide updates when available.

Crews are currently responding to a boat fire north of Cabbage Key. Minor injuries reported.
