U.S. State Department updates travel advisory alerts

Day-dreaming about your next vacation? Before you book it, recent updates by the U.S. State Department may affect your summer travel plans abroad.

There are 57 countries on the State Department’s travel advisory.

These destinations include level 2 category counties to “exercise increased caution,” such as the United Kingdom, France and the Bahamas.

The updates range to level 4 categories, “do not travel,” such as Venezuela and Iran.
