Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving one car on northbound I-75 mile marker 150 north of Slater Road in Charlotte County Friday night.

FHP confirmed driver Manoucheka Silverain, 32, of Fort Myers was killed in the crash. The 10-year-old passenger in Silverain’s 2009 Toyota Camry was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital to treat minor injuries.

According to the FHP press release, Silverain was driving in the Toyota on the outside lane northbound on I-75 when the car exited the roadway. It went onto the paved shoulder, then the grass shoulder and turned onto its left side and hit a concrete pole.

FHP reported the tires on the Toyota were in poor condition and said it was a contributor to the crash while the roads were wet.
