Woman's dog scares off prowler from Cape Coral home

A woman reported a man prowling around her property in Cape Coral.

Diane Biery said she had just gotten out of the shower at her home on SE 16th Street when she found a strange man on her porch.

“He could of gotten in at any point.,” Biery said. “Who knows what his intentions were, if he saw me or found me in there by myself.”

Fortunately, Biery’s dog, Blue 42, was aware of the man.

”She was growling at him and then he got afraid and wouldn’t even move,” Biery said. “And it wasn’t until I shut the door, then he ran.”

Biery said the man hopped over her fence and was nowhere in sight when Cape Coral police responded to her home. Biery bought home surveillance after the incident for added security.
