Credit: WINK News. A major stretch of road is adorned with sidewalks in need of improvements, and they are soon to come. Del Prado Boulevard in Cape Coral will be under construction Monday, as crews begin to make sidewalk repairs and add improvements along the roadway. Many drivers are dreading the work that is soon to begin on Del Prado. Over 45,000 trips are taken daily on the stretch of road. But the improvements are something many agree needs to be done. Street signs warn drivers of the coming construction. Del Prado has one of the highest amounts of traffic in Lee County. The roadwork along Del Prado will be between Veterans Parkway North to Coral Point Drive. The repairs are scheduled to be done by May 17. The majority of the work is scheduled to not take place during rush hour traffic.
