Credit: WINK News. Cape Coral Police Department responded to a shooting that injured one person on the 1000 block of SE 24th Avenue in Cape Coral Monday. Police said one person was taken to the hospital for serious injuries after officers found the victim in the back of the home lying on a table outside. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting. The scene was just south of Viscaya Parkway. According to CCPD, there is not threat to the public at large. Crime scene tape from the scene has been taken down. The shooting continues to be an active investigation. WATCH: New video surveillance from the scene in our video above.
