The Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it’s leading a death investigation related to a boating incident off Pine Island on Sunday. LCSO told us they don’t believe this is a suspicious death. And it is still an active investigation. The report of the victim’s death was received by law enforcement around 3:40 p.m. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission crews as well as U.S. Coast Guard are also responding to the scene.
