One man died; two passengers were left in critical condition; and two children had minor injuries after the car they were all in crashed into a median curb Saturday night.

A North Port man, Jesus Machado, 36, was driving south on the inside left turn lane in a Jeep Wrangler at U.S. 41 and Avenue A in North Fort Myers.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol press release, the Jeep collided with the median curb. The vehicle moved off the roadway while rotating clockwise. Then, the Jeep overturned on the grass shoulder and overturned multiple times.

Jesus was ejected about 30 feet from the Jeep, which came to a rest in a ditch facing west. Jesus died from the crash. Two passengers, Keli Machado, 30, and a 5-year-old girl, are in critical condition. Two other children were left with minor injuries.
