Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies are on the scene of a bank robbery at BB&T bank, 9090 Daniels Pkwy in south Fort Myers. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is now asking for your help identifying and tracking down the man who robbed the bank late Tuesday morning. According to Crime Stoppers, a man wearing a surgical mask and baseball cap approached a teller with a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man, who walked with a cane, fled the bank. At no point was a gun displayed by the suspect. According to witnesses, the suspect is described as being a man in his mid 40s to early 50s. Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
