Deputies have arrested three people for stealing a car, then fleeing on foot when confronted by law enforcement Friday evening.

The suspects, Ricardo Martinez, 18, Edson Laguerre, 18, and a minor, face charges of Felony Grand Theft Auto and Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest Without Violence.

Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies found three people in a stolen Silver BMW at the 4000 block of Gulfstream Dr. Friday evening. The suspects fled the scene, taking off on foot, according to the CCSO arrest report.

Deputies converged and apprehended Martinez near a church and Laguerre in a Bank of America parking lot. The minor was found hiding behind a large bush.

Inside the car there was a notebook with Lagueree’s name, along with an ignition key for a separate car stolen the day before. Both items were submitted as evidence.

All three suspects have been transported to Naples Jail Center.
