A car being towed, which is in a blocked off area for a shooting investigation in Lehigh Acres. (Credit: WINK News) The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an active investigation on Lee Blvd. in Lehigh Acres. LCSO deputies responded to the area around 3 a.m. about a vehicle crash. During the response, the scene developed into an active shooting investigation. All injuries related to the shooting were non-life threatening. LCSO said it is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. All east and westbound lanes of traffic on Lee Blvd. between Olympia Pointe Blvd. and Westgate Blvd. were blocked, but have since reopened.
