The Gulf Coast Humane Society suspects Duncan, a happy wagging his tail dog, is a victim of animal abuse after being treated for severe injuries from his neck up at its shelter. He was brought in from the Hendry County area.

The Humane Society does not believe Duncan is a bait dog as his injuries are only on his neck and face. The furry four legged friend does not have similar wounds or scars on his body, which nearly all bait dogs do.

But Duncan’s wounds look intentional, according to the Humane Society, leading the non-profit to the conclusion he has been physically abused. He is undergoing rehab and will be neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped, the press release states. He is currently not for adoption.

If Duncan looks familiar and if you have information about how his injuries occurred, please call 800-780-TIPS.
