Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Fort Myers

Fort Myers Police Department responded to a crash that killed a pedestrian on Palm Beach Boulevard (State Road 80) and Oleander Avenue in Fort Myers Sunday.

According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, Gilbert Pena-Gutierrez, 50, was laying on State Road 80 between the right lane and right turn lane when a vehicle ran over the him before speeding off from the scene.
