Naples Beach Hotel redevelopment plan

On Wednesday, plans to redevelop the Naples Beach Hotel goes in front of Planning Advisory Board to determine if the plan should move along.

The blowback on the plan by concerned citizens is what stands in the way of the redevelopment getting underway, and many are expected to attend and voice their concerns.

City leaders want to change the 319 room hotel to a 200 room hotel with 195 residential units spread through out the site. If approved, the new buildings could be ready by 2023.

The plan has to be approved by the advisory board and then will go before City Council for a final vote.
