CCSO traffic stop finds loaded shotgun, pound of marijuana

A traffic stop led to a weapon and drug bust as the driver had over a pound of marijuana in his vehicle, along with a loaded shotgun.

The suspect, Trevor Coday, 20, faces charges of  Possession of Over 20 Grams Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance w/out an Rx, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

A CCSO Deputy stopped Coday after a red light violation, the press release states. While the Deputy was conducting the traffic stop, he observed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.

As Coday was standing outside his vehicle, the Deputy identified the marijuana as the suspect keep trying to keep it from falling out of his pants.

The Deputy would also find a loaded shotgun and marijuana wax.
