Stray bullet injures one in Fort Myers, police investigating

Fort Myers police say they are looking for a suspect that fired bullets out of a Silver or Grey SUV near Metro Park Monday.

According to FMPD, they were searching for the shooting suspect when they got a call saying a wounded man was found at 4036 Fowler Street and was possibly hit with a stray bullet.

When officers arrived at the Fowler Street location, they began medical treatment for a gunshot wound and secured the scene.

The victim was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
