From Southwest Florida to the NFL, two local football phenoms faced off in the AFC Championship for a trip to Super Bowl LIII.

Kansas City Chiefs’ Sammy Watkins, former South Fort Myers High School athlete, and New England Patriots’ JC Jackson, former Immokalee High School athlete, competed in the AFC’s biggest game of the playoffs.

The Patriots defeated the Chiefs to advance to the big stage for its third straight season, where they will compete against the NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the New Orleans Saints.
