Wells Fargo Bank robbery in Lehigh Acres. Credit: WINK News. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirms a bank robbery in Lehigh Acres Wednesday afternoon. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down an armed suspect who robbed the Wells Fargo branch around 2:44 p.m. A man entered the bank, located at 1130 Homestead Road N., Crime Stoppers said. The suspect approached a teller and held a gun in clear sight, while demanding all the cash from the drawer. The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
