Deputies searching for gunman after shooting at CVS in Lehigh Acres

A gunman is on the run in Lehigh Acres following a shooting at a CVS on Lee Boulevard around 8 pm Tuesday.

A CVS employee says someone was shot right in the parking lot of the store, as it was crowded with shoppers inside.

Video shows what seems to be a mom and a daughter at the store during the time of the shooting, and you can see other people standing in the parking lot as deputies were investigating.

The victim was taken to the hospital, which is just a few short minutes down the road from the CVS location.

There were reports of a helicopter in the air searching for the shooter, but there has been no word on an arrest yet.
