Fire at Michael Kors prompts evacuation of Miromar Outlets Thursday

Estero Fire Rescue crews are responding to a fire with heavy smoke at the Michael Kors store at the Miromar Outlets Thursday morning.

Fire crews were called to the Outlet stores around 11:15 a.m.

According to an employee at Michael Kors, an explosion could be heard in the backroom of the store followed by flames.

It is unclear at this time what started the fire. Estero Fire Rescue says there are no injuries at this time.
