Across Southwest Florida on Tuesday, people traded in their swimming suits for long sleeves.

Temperatures stayed in the 60’s for most of the day and reactions were mixed.

“Personally, I like it,” Diane Delvecchio said, a Cape Coral resident. “It’s a nice change from the heat.”

“Now it’s getting too cold,” Richard Walters said, as he shivers.

But for the people who spend their days working outside, the brief cold snap was a welcoming sight.

I said, ‘yeah! that’s what we needed!'” Carlos Garcia said, who works for Horseman Landscaping. “Nice day. Great day.”

We caught up with Robert Coszey and Orlis Hernandez as they wrapped up their roofing work for the day. They said it was a nice change to not have the sun beating down on them while they labored.

“We like the cold weather!” Coszey said. “We don’t have much of it. Not much winter so the few weeks of the year we get to cool down, it’s a good change.”

But although many are enjoying the cooler weather, they said they hope it doesn’t turn cold.

“I don’t like it in the 40’s though,” Delvecchio said. “It’s supposed to go down to the 40’s tonight. That’s a little cold.”
