The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said Cain Podolski was arrested a second time for taking pictures up a woman’s skirt.

Grace Carey, a resident in Naples, said this disturbing behavior does not surprise her.

It’s kind of like anywhere you go, you’re constantly on alert,” Carey said. “You’re always thinking about your surroundings and who’s looking at you; if you’re being followed. Its kind of like this constant presence.”

Investigators said Podolski, 21-years-old, went up to the victim inside a Super Target in a North Fort Myers shopping mall. He then put his smartphone under her dress. When the victim, 26-years-old, caught him she snatched the mobile phone immediately and yelled for help.

“She should’ve smacked him a little bit,” Lula Niktjonaj said, a woman visiting from New York. “Not too hard to put him in the hospital, but enough to feel some sort of pain because she’s going to feel awkward about what happened to her.”

Unfortunately, investigators said he was able to grab the smartphone back from the victim and he immediately ran off.

Niktjonaj said women always have to be alert.

“You don’t know — everyone thinks different people are going to take advantage sometime of your weakness,” Niktjonaj said. “You have to be prepared to look all around you.”

This isn’t the first time Podolski was arrested for taking pictures up a woman’s skirt. In July, deputies said he was caught taking pictures up another woman’s skirt in a busy Naples shopping center.

His arrest for his actions at the Super Target was a violation of his probation. Podolski appears in court on Tuesday and a big question is whether he will be released on bond because the first case hasn’t been settled yet.

As for Carey, she hopes his arrest gets a lot of attention.

“I think we’ve made a lot of strides in the past couple decades,” Carey said. “There’s definitely still a lot of work to do with respect women’s bodies and how we feel about going out at night.”
